About Me: A Dedicated Leader

As a proud member of the Chicago Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. since 2003, I have actively contributed to our community through various roles, including serving on the Choir and as co-chair of the Jabberwock/Fundraising Committee, where we raised over $250,000. My journey has been enriched by my experiences, including singing at national conventions and presenting workshops on caregiving, reflecting my commitment to service and leadership.

My Involvement in the Sorority

As a proud member of the Chicago Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. since 2003, I have actively contributed to our community through various roles, including serving on the Choir and as co-chair of the Jabberwock/Fundraising Committee, where we raised over $250,000. Throughout my tenure, I have held multiple positions, including Recording Secretary and currently, 2nd Vice President. My professional background as an attorney and my role at the Chicago Transit Authority have equipped me with the skills to oversee our Five Point Programmatic Thrust Committees, impacting thousands through health initiatives, educational programs, and community service events.

Community Impact and Initiatives

Our chapter serves approximately 5,000 individuals annually through various initiatives, such as blood drives, school supply giveaways, and our annual Black artists exhibit, Gallery D’Estee, which has successfully sold original art pieces to support local artists. These efforts reflect our commitment to uplifting the community and fostering cultural awareness.
